Can I ship personal items in my vehicle?
The Department of Transportation, does not allow any items to be shipped in a vehicle on an auto carrier.
What if the truck cannot get to my location?
Carriers are very long and wide making it difficult to enter some residential neighborhoods. Some city laws prohibit these trucks in certain areas. If the truck is unable to make it to your front door, they will get as close as possible to the scheduled pickup location and then meet you in a location with an adequate amount of space.
Can I ship my car if it is in-operable?
You must tell us the vehicle is inoperable when placing the order so can be send a truck equipped for hauling inoperable vehicles. There is an additional charge for inoperable vehicles. If we weren’t told that the vehicle is inoperable, your deposit will be forfeited if the driver is unable to load your vehicle.
How long does it take to transport my vehicle?
This depends on how many miles the vehicle is traveling. By law, a driver is only allowed to drive a certain amount of hours or miles per day. There may also be other cars to unload and load which will add additional time. We will provide you with the drop off date as soon as the vehicle is dispatched.
How long before my vehicle is picked up?
Depending on your location, it takes 1-7 business days for the vehicle to get picked up. Inoperable vehicles or extremely large vehicle will take a few extra days.
How do you figure out the price to transport my car?
The price is determined by mileage, vehicle size, delivery and pick up locations and your specific needs.
How does payment work?
We keep a credit card on file and only run the deposit amount when the vehicle is dispatched and the truck is on its way to pick up your vehicle. The balance is paid upon delivery of the vehicle either by cash, money order, certified check or credit card.
How far in advance do I need to place my order?
The more advance notice we receive the better. If you are in an urgent situation, please call us as soon as possible.
Is my shipment insured during transit?
Your vehicle is fully insured. Each carrier carries not only liability insurance but cargo insurance as well. If something happens to your vehicle during transit, we will help you get in contact with the carrier to handle your claim. All damage must be noted on the bill of lading at time of drop off and reported immediately.
